Reducing Customer Loss

Some customer loss is inevitable: people move, businesses close their doors…

But is most of your customer loss due to these natural causes or could you be losing customers to competitors? The best way to find out is to contact former customers and ask them. If losses are due to your own lack of performance, take action to correct it.

Here are 5 key questions to ask yourself:
Do you know how many customers you lose each year?
Do you know why customers leave you?
Why should your customers remain loyal to you?
How do you show your customers that you value them and their loyalty?
Could you do more to retain your customers?

Here are 3 tips to minimize customer losses:
Tip #1: Offer your customers a great value in the products/services you provide.
Tip #2: Always stand behind your products/services and the promises you make.
Tip #3: Keep in touch with customers and let them know how much you appreciate them.

Remember, your company’s most precious asset is its relationship with its customers. Look after them with care and respect, and chances are those relationships will last a long time.
